I went back tonight and wow...this place wins! They are remodeling! They are fixing up the dining area (end of May 2018) and it's looking very nice.

The place was packed again and the cook/owner? was busting his butt to get the orders out. It was impressive to watch.

I got my tacos to go and had a near religious experience in my car.

They gave me a packet of grilled onions/jalapeno, 2 sauces , a ton of radish and cucumber slices, limes and my tacos. Every sense was on fire. Everything tastes so good and full of flavor.

I super dig this place. Go!!

Just get here. Authentic, good, well priced. My second visit here and they didn't disappoint. My only regret is that I always ordered to many tacos because they're so freakin good!

I can't believe this place is within walking distance of my house. I feel so taco rich. The TV had the world cup playing, there was a cooler of soft drinks, and two cans of Coke and six tacos with a giant plate of accoutrements was $11 even. It was delicious and I'll be back to work my way through the entire menu.

There's that moment when you step into a new place for the first time and you just know it's going to be great. Authentic "joint," neighborhood families walking in with grandma, mom and dad and the kids in tow, a guy in a ball cap working the grill tending massive piles of great tasting meats in plain view, folks hunched over plates of chow with happy faces, Mexican cokes and Jarritos being drained.

And the street tacos... to die for. As a rule I've never been a fan of the type of taco that the shell is coated in a bit of oil and grilled before being assembled, but damn if what they're doing here just makes it even better. Two tripe, two pastor for me, two tripe and two chorizo for a friend. A separate plate contained a good amount of grilled onions, fresh cut radishes and cucumbers, red and green sauce, and the tacos loaded with fresh onions and cilantro with a big wedge of lime. Heaven.

We had just come from playing a gig about 15 minutes away so didn't need drinks. Total bill $12.00 for 8 tacos and two full bellies. Ridiculous.

I adore places like this. You may not. The folks that live within walking distance, you have a real treasure here and one I hope to enjoy the cooking of again in the future. Great folks!

    If you come:

    - cash only
    - no liquor license
    - way off the beaten path
    - neighborhood Hispanic crowd
    - no frills. mismatched tables and chairs, dreary decor
    - Spanish language television x 2!
    - air conditioning but a suggestion

I somehow stumbled across this place on facebook and decided to check it out. This is a no frills, authentic taco stand. They serve street tacos for $1.50, tortas for $6, burritos for $6 and large quesadillas for $5. They have a fridge full of Mexican pop. We went there on Friday night at 7:00pm and they were super busy. We had to wait quite a while for our tacos and torta. There were two other tables (out of maybe 6 or 7 total?) eating in, but they must do a lot of call in and carry out orders. The grillers didn't stop grilling the whole time we were there.  If I lived in that neighborhood, I would be there all the time. If you are in for an adventure and an authentic Mexican experience, this is a good place to go. I lived in Mexico for two years and this reminded me of "home". The interior itself is a bit grungy and beat up.

    Cash only! Closed on Sundays.
